At Share the Road Apparel, we believe in giving back. So each year, we choose a charity or cycling organization to receive $5 of every jersey we sell. This year, from October 2011 to October 2012, it's World Bicycle Relief. Hey, it's the least we can do to thank them for all that they do. We are a group of cyclists who are concerned about cycling safety.

Anyone who spends a good deal of time cycling has probably had his or her share of close calls with motorists. So we came up with an idea: create cycling jerseys that communicate the concept of giving a cyclist 3 feet.

Our primary goal is to spread the word — in a cool, positive way — that motorists need to share the road with cyclists. We believe that every motorist should be aware of the 3 feet rule because they keep everyone safe. And in turn, these safer roads encourage more people to ride — and that creates healthier neighbors, fewer cars on the road, and less impact on our environment. It's a win — win for everyone.
